For generations of import and tuner enthusiasts, this platform has occupied that second category — the kind of car capable of stopping a conversation before the engine even starts.
DESIGN STUDY 002 explores that presence through stance, proportion and purposeful wheel fitment. The exterior is finished in Dark Dream Blue Metallic, paired with one-off JECKONEDESIGN JK1DR5 two-piece wheels that are machine finished with chrome lips and accents. Staggered fitment and deep-dish rear wheels strengthen the silhouette while preserving the character that made the original platform so desirable.
Born during a defining era of Japanese performance, this platform became an international icon through its combination of engineering potential, motorsport influence and an enormous tuning culture that continues decades later.
Inside, the cooler exterior tones transition into a layered combination of Smooth Slate Gray suede, Sky Blue suede and Sky Blue Levi’s denim across the seats, door panels and trunk. A Smooth Slate Gray suede headliner and Midnight Black suede-wrapped steering wheel frame the cabin, while alternating Slate Gray and Sky Blue stitching adds definition while keeping the interior cohesive.
The concept is completed with a CRISPY sound system featuring seven speakers, six tweeters, a bass-tube subwoofer, a single amplifier finished in Dark Dream Blue Metallic, and a digital equalizer.
