Sometimes the best part of being with someone is simply enjoying their company.
AMUZED was created during a period when I was spending a lot of quality time with my fiancée.
There wasn’t necessarily some major event behind the piece. It came from something much simpler—the enjoyment I found in being around the person I had chosen to share my life with.
Talking. Laughing. Going places. Spending time together. Sometimes doing absolutely nothing important at all.
Just enjoying her company.
That feeling became the inspiration behind AMUZED.
The piece itself carries that playful energy. My lettering stretches across an almost otherworldly environment, accompanied by imagery that feels imaginative, humorous and a little unexpected. It doesn’t attempt to document a particular date, place or moment between us.
It captures a feeling from that period of my life.
Being entertained by another person’s personality. Being intrigued by them. Being able to laugh together. And realizing that quality time doesn’t always have to involve doing something extraordinary for it to become meaningful.
HER represented my decision to choose the woman who would become my wife.
AMUZED came from what happened after that decision—
I genuinely enjoyed being with her.

Place each of the mounting hooks 1 inch (2.5 cm) from frame corners when hanging horizontally.
