Inspiration: FOKUS
FOKUS came together over several sittings. The lettering was created first, the background was added later, and the words within the center of the piece completed the artwork during a final session.
By this point in my life, I was helping build the foundation of a new family, and my attention shifted toward the things that create a better life—purpose, stability, growth, peace, and legacy.
The title is intentionally spelled FOKUS. While the altered spelling reflects graffiti’s tradition of reshaping language, the K carries a more personal meaning. It represents my wife, whose strength, perspective, and partnership have helped me stay focused whenever life tried to pull my attention away from what mattered most.
Like the artwork itself, focus isn’t about concentrating on just one thing. It’s about bringing the important things into alignment and refusing to lose sight of them.
