DESIGN STUDY 006
1990 Japanese Sports Coupe
Some cars don’t have to chase attention.
They just glide by and get it.
DESIGN STUDY 006 leans into the naturally sleek character of the Z. Pearl Gray Haze High Gloss keeps the exterior cool and composed, while the air-suspension stance and one-off JECKONEDESIGN JD1R5 two-piece wheels, finished in Chocolate Brownie Semi-Gloss with highly polished lips, introduce a warmer contrast without competing with the silhouette. Staggered low-profile performance tires complete the stance.
Arriving at the beginning of the 1990s, this generation helped redefine what a Japanese performance coupe could be, combining advanced engineering with a smooth, unmistakable silhouette that still looks remarkably modern decades later.
Inside, that warm contrast becomes the focus. Polished Mahogany suede blends with Bitter Chocolate suede across the seats, door panels and hatch, complemented by a Bitter Chocolate suede-wrapped steering wheel and Polished Mahogany suede headliner. Charcoal Gray, Dark Clove and Silver stitching bring cooler details into the cabin, subtly reconnecting the interior with the Pearl Gray Haze exterior.
The concept is completed with a CRISPY sound system featuring seven speakers, four tweeters, a bass-tube subwoofer, a single amplifier color-coded in Pearl Gray Haze High Gloss, and a digital equalizer.
That’s part of what makes this platform special to me. It doesn’t need to be transformed into something louder to remain relevant.
